Eleceed is the story of a prodigy awakened and his genius mentor. Seo Ji-Woo awakened to his abilities at a very young age. He showed off his abilities to his friends, but his friends were more mortified than impressed. He decided to keep his abilities a secret for the time being. Little did he know, he was part of a large group of people all around the globe.
Turns out Ji-Woo just needed the right mentor to bring out his latent talent. What he did not expect was to meet said mentor in the way that he did. Break Kayden is an awakened that is considered the strongest in the world. The fact that he refuses to join any awakened faction is what sets him apart from others like him. His inherent ability is electrokinesis.
But Kayden had honed his abilities to its maximum potential giving a wide array of electricity-related abilities. His most notable ability is his spacial isolation. One time when he was in a pinch, he used it to transfer his consciousness into that of a cat. However, the process used up a lot more energy than he intended, and ended up passing out from fatigue.

That was when Ji-Woo found him. Ji-Woo loves cats and spends all his money taking care of them. He brings Kayden into his home, assuming he is just another injured cat. Imagine his surprise when the cat started talking to him. Imagine Kayden’s surprise when he realized that Ji-Woo was an independent awakened. Thus forming their mentor-mentee relationship.
Kayden had to infuse his powers into him during an emergency, and surprisingly, he retained the ability afterward. This makes him the only other person in that universe to have electrokinesis. His inherent ability is speed. He can move at speeds naked to the human eye. However, he can only do so in short bursts. After becoming Kayden’s disciple, he became much stronger.
At the moment Ji-Woo is challenging Duke Grain for the 3rd time. He is at their training facility and is completely alone. Or so he wants everyone to think. Kayden is with him in his cat form. Ji-Woo has already defeated Duke twice before, but this time it’s different. He has been studying under Schneider, one of the strongest 10 awakened. This battle will be a tough one.

The duel between Duke and Ji-Woo is over, and it’s in Ji-Woo’s favor. He used the technique he learned from Principal Seongik Han at the Awakened Academy. By focusing his energy on his fist and joints, Ji-Woo can mimic the momentum he would gain from a distance. Effectively being able to cause explosive damage within a fraction of the time.
Ji-Woo didn’t even give him time to react as he was thrown across the room onto the wall breaking his body in more ways than one. Roist declares the duel in Ji-Woo’s favor, much to Duke’s protests. However, Roist tells her that she noticed what she did to Ji-Woo and that it was a cowardly move. She adds that he brought shame to Schneider as his disciple.
We see Ji-Woo all bandaged up in his bed. Both Kayden and Katrien are there. Kartien tells him that he is unable to heal him as that would cause more suspicion to fall on him. Ji-Woo tells him that’s it fine and that the injuries are manageable. Kayden asks him why he slowed down, and Ji-Woo tells him how he met Earthquake before the duel and how he used his ability on him.
At the same time, Roist is making her way to Schneider. She runs into Earthquake and asks him if he is responsible for what happened to Ji-Woo. Earthquake feigns innocence; however, Roist tells him that it would not be soo pleasant once Schneider finds out that he interfered in their duel. With that, she makes her way to Schneider and tells him the result of the Duel.

Schneider seemed furious that his disciple lost. Even more so since it was against Kayden’s disciple, this blow will surely bruise his ego. He will be more furious once he learns about the stunt Duke pulled to try and win the duel. Roist said Schneider might kill him personally as it was such a cheap way to win. Duke’s future with Schneider remains uncertain.
