An upcoming action thriller movie in the Telugu language called Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire was written, directed, and produced by Prashanth Neel. Principal photography for the movie near Godavarikhani, Telangana, started in January 2021 after it was announced in December 2020. Bhuvan Gowda handled the cinematography, while Ravi Basrur created the soundtrack.
It was supposed to open in theaters around the world on September 28, 2023, however that date was moved to November 2023.

Production Improvement
On December 2, 2020, the title and the movie were revealed. The movie, which is billed as an action thriller, is the first time director Prashanth Neel and actor Prabhas have worked together. It's also Neel's debut Telugu production. According to Prabhas, who played the role, "My character is extremely violent, so this is something I haven't really done before." According to Neel, Salaar is an original story created for Prabhas, contrary to several rumours that suggested it was a remake of his directorial debut, Ugramm.
On January 16, 2021, the movie had its official premiere in Hyderabad. Bhuvan Gowda is the director of photography, and Ravi Basrur is the composer of the soundtrack.
Casting
In January 2021, actress Shruti Haasan was chosen for a pivotal part. The Kannada actor Madhu Guruswamy will play a significant part. Actress Easwari Rao was chosen in March to play Prabhas' mother. then in August, Jagapathi Babu joined the cast; his role as Rajamanaar was then made public.
Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran began negotiations in October 2021 to play a significant part in the movie.Prithviraj is a part of Salaar, according to Prabhas, who made the statement in March 2022 at a screening for his movie Radhe Shyam. Later in June, Prithviraj declared that he had approved the script but was attempting to change the dates so that they would work with the movie. Prithiviraj's involvement was later confirmed in October 2022, and the movie marks his comeback After 12 years, he has returned to Telugu film, following his role in Police Police (2010). Sriya Reddy is also given a significant part.
Filming
The film's production got underway on January 29, 2021 in a coal mine not far from Godavarikhani, Telangana.By February 2021, the initial timetable had been finished. In Hyderabad, the second schedule of the movie started in August 2021.
By March 2022, about 30% of the shoot had been done. The idea was to continue filming in May once Radhe Shyam (2022), starring Prabhas, and K.G.F: Chapter 2 (2022), starring Neel, were released. The shoot was further delayed, though, when Prabhas suffered a knee fracture in March while on holiday in Spain. Prabhas and Haasan joined the sets at Hyderabad's Ramoji Film City in June 2022, marking the start of a fresh schedule. Additionally, the crew filmed a 20-minute action scene in the middle of the ocean. a, investing roughly 10 crore in the location.
According to reports, Dark Centric Theme (DCT) technology was used to shoot Salaar, making it the first Indian movie to do so. The lighting design and color scheme of the movie would be darker as a result.
Marketing
On July 6, 2023, the film's teaser trailer was revealed. The teaser broke all previous records for Indian films with more than 83 million views in 24 hours.
Release Salaar Part 1- Ceasefire is slated for a November 2023 theatrical debut. Along with Telugu, it will also be released in dubbed Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam versions.
The movie's release date of 14 April 2022 was first confirmed in August 2021. Later, because K.G.F: Chapter 2 by Neel and Hombale was slated for release on that day, the movie was postponed. Due to production delays brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, the movie was delayed to the second quarter (April–June) of 2023, according to producer Vijay Kiragandur in a March 2022 interview with Pinkvilla. The release date, which had originally been set for September 28th, 2023 , has now been moved to November 2023.
Distribution
While KRG Studios purchased the distribution rights for Karnataka, UV Creations purchased them for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Together, Prathyangira Cinemas and Moksha Movies will distribute it in North America.
