Nancy White
Nancy Tatum White was born on July 2, 1932, in Columbia, Missouri. She passed away peacefully into the arms of her Heavenly Father on May 24, 2024 with her children by her side. She had been living in Big Canoe, Georgia for over 25 years.
Nancy was married for 58 years to the love of her life, Phil White. They were married on June 15, 1957 at Peachtree Christian Church in Atlanta. Together, Phil and Nancy lovingly raised their family of three children, along with the blessing of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. After living in Atlanta for 50 years, they retired in Hilton Head, South Carolina for a season and then made their final move to Big Canoe, Georgia to be closer to family.
Growing up in Atlanta, Nancy Ann was a true southern belle, having the honor of representing her class on the May Court at her high school, Washington Seminary. She was also chosen as sweetheart of ATO fraternity at Emory and Duke Universities as well as enjoying her knack for fashion and style through modeling at Rich’s Department Store.
Nancy attended Wesleyan College in Macon, GA, her freshman year, then transferred to Duke University where she graduated with a BA in Sociology and Psychology. After her college years, she taught Kindergarten at her former Elementary School, RL Hope.
Always having a desire to help people in need, Nancy served others through many local charities and ministries as well as helped to start a women’s shelter in Atlanta while president of the Riverside Women’s Club in Sandy Springs. She was an active member of the Big Canoe Chapel, teaching and participating in Bible Studies, helping with outreaches, VBS programs and serving through the Women’s Fellowship Ministry. Nancy was an avid student of the Bible, always eager to share her faith in Christ, scriptures, and prayers to lift others up. She had a passion for world history and an incredible memory to share stories of different time periods and the impact they had on our lives.
A beloved matriarch of the family, Nancy cherished her role as a loving wife, as a mother and especially as Nana. Her greatest joy was in spending time with her “seven from heaven” grandkids, great-grandkids, family, and friends, and showering all those she was around with her heart of kindness, thoughtfulness, and compassion.
Nancy was a true Proverbs 31 virtuous woman who has left an incredible legacy of faith, love and generosity that will forever have an impact on her family, friends, and all who knew her for many generations to come.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, George Phillips White; her father, Russell Jerome Tatum; and mother, Grace Moss Tatum.
She is survived by her son, George Phillips White Jr.; her daughter, Wendy White Prausa; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Chris Daniel; grandchildren, Courtney and Huston Gillis, Kelsey Prausa, Cassidy Prausa, Matthew Prausa, Tatum and Caleb Elliott, Kyle and Brooke Daniel, Gracie Daniel; great-granddaughters, Caroline Grace Gillis, Margot Mae Daniel, and Ella Blake.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, June 14, 2024 at Big Canoe Chapel with a reception following at the Chapel Fellowship Hall.

Ricky Anglin
Ricky Eddie Anglin, 68, after a heroic fight with cancer, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2024, at his home in Jasper, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on June 29, 1955, in Alpharetta, Ricky was the son of the late Oscar “Teedie” and Ruth Anglin. Ricky was a devoted husband to his wife, Jennifer Potts Anglin, for 30 years. He was a loving father to Ronnie Anglin, Marian (Karl) DeVries, Jessica (Dale) Belvin, and Sarah Ledford. Ricky was a proud grandfather to Lillian Tippens, Dennis Ricky DeVries, Laura Blair, Zachary Blair, Madison (Tony) Mazzola, Manuel “Alex” Lopez, Sebastian Lopez, Savannah Dougherty, and 9 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Brenda (Kenneth) Burton and Ruby (Randy) Hales; brother-in-law, Nelson Brown; nieces and nephews, Tim Brown, Melony Winn, Rodney Fouts, Daniel Burton, Matthew (Mary) Burton, Jason (Nikki) Anglin, Jody (Nichole) Anglin. Ricky was preceded in death by his brothers, Ronald “Brut” Anglin, Tony Anglin, Michael Anglin, and his sister, Mary Alice Brown.
An avid outdoorsman, Ricky found joy in deer and turkey hunting, and fishing. As a younger man, Ricky was an accomplished softball player, playing on several traveling teams. He took great pride in manicuring his yard in Jasper as well as his second home in West Kentucky. Ricky was known for his kindness, generosity, unwavering support for his family, and loyalty to his friends. He could often be found around the breakfast table at Annie’s and most Saturdays scouting bargains at yard sales.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Jasper United Methodist Church, Jasper, Georgia with Reverend Greg Meadows officiating. Interment will be held on June 13, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Coldwater Church of Christ, Murray, Kentucky. The graveside service will be conducted by Bro. David Little of Dexter Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Timothy House in Ricky’s memory.

Audrea Fountain
Mrs. Audrea Fountain of Jasper, Georgia, passed away at Emory University on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at the age of 53. Audrea was born on October 21, 1970 to the late Mr. Gene Tunney McPherson and Ms. Mary Frances Hales McPherson in Jasper, Georgia.
Audrea was a devoted wife to Donnie for 35 years and the most loving mother, Granny, sister and friend anyone could ask for. She had more love in her pinky finger than most people have in their whole body, never hesitating to help anyone and everyone she could. Audrea was kind, funny and always true to her core. You could count on her to be there, regardless of the situation, always saying just the right thing to make things better. She loved to sing, go fishing, drawing and crafting, playing cards, going to Cherokee, searching for arrowheads, deer hunting and all of the yellow flowers. While all those things brought Audrea joy, they didn’t compare to the happiness that Donnie and their family gave her.
Audrea is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Tommy McPherson, sister, Linda McPherson. She is survived by her husband, Donnie Fountain, daughters; Amanda McPherson and Brad Jenks, Samantha and J.J. Cantrell, son, Cody and Misty Fountain, brothers; John and David McPherson, sisters; Debbie and Tex Byess, Shirley Totherow, Jean McPherson and Wanda Lemieux. 12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and countless others who Audrea has loved and nurtured also survive to miss and remember her.
A funeral service was held in the chapel of Cagle Funeral Home Sunday June 9, 2024 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon with Rev. Johnny Grizzle officiating. Internment followed the service at Jerusalem Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Samantha Cantrell, Tammy Jo Southernland, Carley McPherson, Jennifer Smith, Samantha Chastain and Rose Gogus. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Amanda McPherson, Cody Fountain, Josh Hanco*ck, J.J. Cantrell and Matt Young.

Dale Davis
Mr. Dale Davis of Jasper, Georgia passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Northside Hospital Cherokee at the age of 64. Dale was born on April 1, 1960 to the late Mr. David Davis and Ms. Shirley Patrick Davis in Atlanta, Georgia.
Dale was married to his loving wife, Suzy Davis, for 43 years. Together they went on adventures and traveled to many different places, their favorite being National Parks, like Yellowstone and The Grand Canyon. He will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Dale is preceded in death by his parents, and his grandparents, Herbert and June Davis.
He is survived by his wife, brother, Dean and Crystal Davis, sister, Debbie Davis, sister-in-law, Jean Prather, aunt and uncle, Lorena and Gus Logan, nephews; Rocky and Joey Davis and Dakota Davis. Several other aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and family also survive to cherish Dale’s memory.
Dale’s funeral service was held on Sunday June 9, 2024 at four o’clock in the afternoon in the chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with Pastor Chris White officiating. Interment followed the service at Ellijay City Cemetery.
