Ricky Eddie Anglin

Ricky Eddie Anglin, 68, passed away peacefully after a heroic fight with cancer on Monday, June 10, 2024, at his home in Jasper, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born June 29, 1955, in Alpharetta.

He was the son of Oscar "Teedie" and Ruth Anglin.

An avid outdoorsman, Ricky found joy in deer and turkey hunting, and fishing. As a younger man, he was an accomplished softball player, playing on several traveling teams. He took great pride in manicuring his yard in Jasper, as well as his second home in West Kentucky. He was known for his kindness, generosity, unwavering support for his family, and loyalty to his friends. He could often be found around the breakfast table at Annie's and most Saturdays scouting bargains at yard sales.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ronald "Brut" Anglin, Tony Anglin and Michael Anglin, and his sister, Mary Alice Brown.

Ricky was a devoted husband to his wife, Jennifer Potts Anglin, for 30 years. He was a loving father to Ronnie Anglin, Marian (Karl) DeVries, Jessica (Dale) Belvin and Sarah Ledford. He was a proud grandfather to Lillian Tippens, Dennis Ricky DeVries, Laura Blair, Zachary Blair, Madison (Tony) Mazzola, Manuel "Alex" Lopez, Sebastian Lopez, Savannah Dougherty, and to nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Brenda (Kenneth) Burton and Ruby (Randy) Hales; a brother-in-law, Nelson Brown; nieces and nephews, Tim Brown, Melony Winn, Rodney Fouts, Daniel Burton, Matthew (Mary) Burton, Jason (Nikki) Anglin and Jody (Nichole) Anglin. Ricky was preceded in death by his brothers, Ronald "Brut" Anglin, Tony Anglin, Michael Anglin, and his sister, Mary Alice Brown.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Coldwater Church of Christ Cemetery in Murray with David Little of Dexter Baptist Church officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Timothy House in Ricky's memory.

Ross William Robinson

Ross William Robinson, 33, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

He was born Oct. 3, 1990, in Murray.

He was a 2009 graduate of Calloway County High School and was owner and operator of Piece-by-Piece Construction. He was also of Methodist faith. He grew up playing baseball and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal

fan, a cooking enthusiast, loved being outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, rock climbing, and camping.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Franklin Robinson; his stepfather, Bill David Wilson; maternal grandfather, Harry Furches; and his uncle, Chip Furches.

Ross is survived by his mother, Leslie Furches of Hazel; two sons, Liam Hal and Ivan David Allbritten, both of Murray; his fiancé, Jessica Cook of Murray; maternal grandmother, Jeanette

Furches of Murray; a brother, Matthew Robinson and wife Allie of New Albany, Indiana; two nephews, Maddox Robinson and Cooper Lattus, both of Murray; two aunts, Mary Leigh Furches and

husband Bill of Murray and Sheila Furches of Hazel; and two uncles, Clay Furches and wife Kaiti of Murray and Vince Furches and wife Kay of Hazelton, Pennsylvania.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Hazel Cemetery with Jarrod Martin officiating.

Audie P. Dick

Audie P. Dick, 87, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Spring Creek Rehab in Murray.

She was born May 20, 1937, in Calloway County, Kentucky, to Kelly Burton and Vonell (Oliver) Burton.

She was a homemaker for years and later worked various jobs and at the front desk at Boone’s Laundry before retiring. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; family was always first. She loved her flowers and outdoor work. She was a 1955 graduate of New Concord High School.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willie C. Dick, as of January 2024; a sister, Frances Wilkerson; and her niece, Amy Wilkerson Cox.

Mrs. Dick is survived by a daughter, Suzanne Wilson and husband Bill of Paris, Tennessee; a granddaughter, Lauren Poteete and husband Greg of Paris; great-grandsons, Jack Poteete and William “Will” Poteete, both of Paris; a nephew, Mark Wilkerson of Paris; great-niece, Ciera Cox of Murray; and a brother-in-law, Joe Wilkerson of Murray.

A graveside service will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Murray City Cemetery with Sammy Cunningham officiating. There will be no public visitation.

Shirley Halliday Grasty

Shirley Halliday Grasty, 88, passed away Friday, June 7, 2024, at her home in Murray, Kentucky.

She was born Oct. 16, 1935, in Indian Mound, Tennessee, to Hugh Halliday and Louise (Vaughn) Halliday.

She retired as a material handler from Mattel.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, William J. Grasty, and a brother, E. Thomas Halliday and wife Dottie.

Mrs. Grasty is survived by two daughters, Sally Kesterson and husband Tommy of Paris, Tennessee, and Mary Thompson and husband Jeff of Symsonia; two sons, Joey Grasty and wife Betty of Carrollton, Texas, and Christopher Grasty and wife Kim of Murray; one brother, Roger Halliday and wife Dimple; six grandchildren, Nicolas and Zachary Grasty of Texas, Lauren Wilkins and husband John of Tennessee, Jordan Doggett of Kentucky, and Taylor and Riley Thompson of Kentucky; and seven great-grandchildren, Claire, Hadley, Millie Jane, Albany Grace, Tytan, Luke and Piper.

A private family memorial service will be planned for a later date.

Dire Dougherty

Dire Dougherty, 22, of Murray, KY, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024.

Dire was born to Gene Dougherty and Lauralee Latimer on May 26, 2002 in Lexington, KY. He was a graduate of Murray High School Class of 2021 and attended Purpose Church in Murray.

Throughout his life, Dire loved to play many sports, and excelled at each one. He loved listening to music and spending time outdoors, especially at the lake catching fish. The fondness of the water extended to visits to the beach with family. Yet, amidst all that Dire encountered in his life, his true happiness was found in the company of his loving family. His presence brought warmth and light to all who knew him. He was loved by so many and will be dearly missed.

Preceding him in death is his grandfather, Ward Dougherty.

Those left to cherish many wonderful memories are his parents, Gene Dougherty (Crystal) of Little York, IL, and Lauralee Latimer (Jeremy) of Puryear, TN; sisters, Layne Latimer of Puryear, TN, Merritt Latimer of Puryear, TN, Ellie Dougherty of Lexington, KY, Addison Dougherty of Medina, TN; brothers, Landen Dougherty of Paris, TN, Channing Dougherty of Paris, TN, Luca Dougherty of Little York, IL; step sisters, Harper and Amelia Allman of IL; his adoring grandparents, Kenny and Tammie Hoover of Murray, Barbara Dougherty of Paris, TN, Pat Latimer of Murray, Ray and Carol Davis of Milan, TN. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly.

Private family services will be held Thursday, June 13, 2024.
